Re-establishing design excellence at UC Berkeley
I led the design team for the University Relations Department at UC Berkeley, where I designed, developed and dictated a new style and tone for both print and web. This opportunity was a dream scenario for both myself and for Berkeley given my extensive background in both mediums.

At the time, the majority of Berkeley’s marketing collateral was deeply rooted in print and most designers had little to no experience designing for web. During my short tenure, I led the design team into a new era of online marketing. In addition, I was a key driver for the development team, teaching and guiding them modern day best practices such as responsive design, introducing them to web fonts, and much more.
The new giving portal successfully launched in Fall 2014, just in time for the new school year. With a new year, comes new campaigns and new fundraising goals. We utilized the summer break to create additional collateral and marketing material that would help boost awareness and engagement. I was fortunate enough to lead the team through this transition into modern day digital design and tech frameworks. I delegated additional site design to others on the team and used that opportunity to teach/coach my peers. The Campaign for Berkeley exceeded its goal and raised $3.13 billion from more than 281,000 donors.
